Logicalis Showcase next generation
collaboration technologies at Worldskills 2011

2011 – International solutions provider, Logicalis, is
showcasing next generation technologies, including
Video-as-a-Service and Cisco Quad collaboration, at WorldSkills
2011 from 5-8th October at ExCel London.
Tom Kelly, Managing Director of
Logicalis, explains Logicalis’ involvement in the event;
“WorldSkills London 2011 is an opportunity to invest in technology
skills at a time when the UK needs them most, through the promotion
of IT as a preferred career option and demonstrating a new
generation of collaboration and cloud services.”
Logicalis will be demonstrating next
generation technologies including Video-as-a-Service and Quad
collaboration, promoting social, mobile, visual and virtual
enterprise communications, and connecting technologically savvy
youth to the information and expertise they require, when they need
it, wherever they are in the world.
Kelly says, “At WorldSkills London
2011 we are demonstrating how technology can be used to enable both
learning and working. Students can use video and Quad collaboration
for remote learning, video chats between student and mentor, and
group collaboration – all key enablers to effective learning and
qualifications, including apprenticeships.”
WorldSkills London 2011 will bring
together 1,000 young people from 50 nations to compete in 45 skills
areas within sectors including Information Technology. Kelly
concludes, “The WorldSkills movement demonstrates to UK industry
leaders that young people are willing to invest in their own skills
to make themselves both attractive and a valuable contributor to a
mixed skilled society. We are pleased to be involved and supporting
something so vital to our economy’s future success.”
