Logicalis UK Completes Mobility Experience Framework With MobileIron

Slough, UK, 7th March 2013 – Logicalis UK, the international IT solutions, managed services and Cloud provider, today announced that it has partnered with MobileIron, the leader in security and management for mobile apps, documents, and devices. Incorporating the MobileIron platform into its mobility solutions and services portfolio, the technology completes the Logicalis Mobility Experience Framework; combining consultancy, technology and services to create and enable end-to-end mobility strategies with quantifiable business outcomes.

MobileIron’s mobile device and application management solution joins networking technologies from Cisco, and Logicalis’ integration and consultancy services to make the benefits of BYOD and COD (Corporate Owned Devices) truly viable for customers. The partnership with MobileIron completes the service offering, enabling organisations to tackle mobility from business strategy and stakeholder buy-in, right through to data centre and network infrastructure and devices, applications and content with Logicalis. Mark Starkey, Managing Director of Logicalis UK, comments:

“Consumerisation of IT, BYOD in particular, is a huge trend affecting many of our customers in the UK. MobileIron has been at the heart of this from the very beginning and with the most complete platform on the market today, it was the perfect complement for our mobility offering. This, coupled with its integration with Cisco, and the integration and service skills at Logicalis, ensures we are equipped with all the elements to support customers in delivering real business benefits, as they look to embrace mobility for business.”

As mobile becomes the preferred communications and computing platform for end users to do their work it also introduces cost, risk, and usability challenges that traditional IT strategies cannot address. According to Alistair Mutch, EMEA Director at MobileIron, Logicalis understands it’s about more than just the device in business today: “Mobile has become an integral part of many of the world’s largest organisations but it’s not just about locking down the device anymore, it’s about protecting apps and content.

“Logicalis are one of a new breed of systems integrator that realise the true value of integrating system security and mobile device integrity to enable increased productivity. By working with both Cisco and MobileIron, Logicalis can deliver an end-to-end mobility solution to its customers. We look forward to working together.”
